Key area interior outfitting
As the world's leading trade fair for the maritime industry, SMM aims to reflect the diversity of topics and to drive the transition in every sector. The segment general outfitting/interior outfitting has been an important part of SMM for many years and will receive more attention than ever in 2022. Already at SMM 2018, in addition to hall B5, we created a dedicated area for MARINE INTERIORS, which will be expanded at SMM 2022 with a further networking area and an extensive stage programme.
Welcome to the home of cruise business. Welcome to MARINE INTERIORS@SMM from 6-9 September 2022, featuring more than 120 associated exhibitors. Alternating annually with the MARINE INTERIORS Cruise & Ferry Global Expo, Hamburg thus offers interior designers, architects and manufacturers a unique and continuous presence on the European and global markets.
Even though the development of the cruise industry remains subdued, the markets are nevertheless starting to recover gradually. Passengers are booking again and cruise activity is slowly moving back towards pre-pandemic levels with the industry making efforts to meet new demands and requirements. That’s why in the 3rd edition of the SMM Maritime Industry Report, we present to you from page 38 onwards which topics will be the focus of passenger ship equipment in the future, such as the topic of sustainability, and which product categories will become increasingly important in 2022.
To make your visit particularly efficient, dedicated theme routes guide you to exhibitors from your specific area of interest. Following the Cruise & Ferry Route brings you directly to ship technology providers – covering the entire range from the engine room to the bridge – as well as suppliers and service providers in the areas of interior work, cabin outfitting, furnishing of bars, restaurants and other public spaces.
