Kerrie Forster

Deputy Operations Manager, Fleet Safety Officer, Acta Marine Wind Services B.V.

After 12 years working both on/offshore within various maritime industries, Kerrie is currently the Deputy Operations Manager and  Fleet Safety Officer at Acta Marine Wind Services Bv. Previously a Workboat Vessel Master, he has offshore experience onboard CTVs, Survey Vessels, Dive support and Anchor Handlers. He now specialises in managing a fleet of Crew Transfer Vessels alongside the W2W vessel Acta Orion.

Amongst being responsible for daily operation of 10 vessels working in Europe and Africa, Kerrie is also promoting a safe and responsible work ethic, developing QHSE documentation, systems/ controls and leading incident and accident investigation.  Kerrie organises and provides training and technical advice to the office and fleet, he is an ISM lead auditor, certified in the International Maritime Dangerous Goods code and has developed and implemented OHSAS 18001 certification of the companies Safety Management System.

Away from his role within AMWS Kerrie sits on the National Workboat Association Safety forum and Training committee, he is also an active member of the IMCA renewables safety committee. He provides guidance and research to many National and International publications and represents both AMWS and the industry speaking and chairing working groups and conferences.
