Vice President, R&D and Technology, MacGregor
Baard Alsaker began his professional career in 1990 as a technical officer in the Royal Norwegian Air Force, after studying electro/mechanical engineering at the Air Force’s Technical College.
In 1995 he graduated from Bergen University College, with a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, and took up a position with Hydralift ASA as project manager for cranes.
Between 1998 and 2009 he held several senior technical and managerial positions working for a number of companies including National Oilwell Varco.
In 2009 he was appointed as a General Manager at Weatherford Rig Systems AS.
Mr Alsaker joined MacGregor in 2012, where he currently holds the position of Vice President, R&D.
With his strong technical and managerial expertise, built on more than 18 years of experience in the drilling equipment industry, Mr Alsaker is firmly focused on innovation and driving the industry forward.
