Is registration binding?
Yes. As specified in our Specific Terms of Participation.
Is there a minimum stand size, I have to book?
The minimum stand size is 20m².
What costs are incurred if I cancel my registration?
Cancellation before approval costs EUR 300. After approval, 25% or 100% of the participation fee is charged. For further details, see our Specific Terms of Participation and General Terms of Participation:
When am I an approved exhibitor?
- Sending in the registration form does not constitute a right to approval.
- Return of the completed and signed registration form to HMC constitutes an offer by the Exhibitor, and is subject to acceptance by HMC. After receipt of the placement proposal, approval is sent by the SMM Team.

Do assembly staff need passes for access?
Are exhibitor badges required for assembly and dismantling?
No exhibitor badges are needed for access to the exhibition centre during assembly and dismantling periods.
How can I book a conference room?

Your data for catalogue entry must be sent to us by May 2018 at the latest.

How can I apply for a visa?
We are happy to support your application for a visa for your trip to SMM. Click here to request a letter of invitation.
Can I dismantle my booth before the official end of the exhibition?
We ask for your understanding that no partially or full dismantling of a booth and products is possible before the official end of SMM. The booth staff may also not be removed before the end of the exhibition. It is for the benefit of all the exhibitors that the exhibition runs free of disruption for its entire duration.
Every exhibitor has undertaken to occupy their booth for the entire duration of the fair and not to dismantle it early. Booth construction staff will not be allowed into the fair until 4 pm on Friday, the last day of the exhibition, and vehicles will not be given access to the halls until 6 pm.
